Comes from a rip of the 2004 DVD, specifically the episode The Origin Of Spider-Man. The audio is in horrible shape, but I don't know if it's the fault of a shoddy DVD release, or if that's just how it was when it broadcast. If there's a VHS rip out there, I'd like to take a look at it. It's oddly impossible to find a FLAC of the song.

This started when I opened the spectrogram as a joke, but then I noticed some actual issues that I could fix.

The original song is incredibly overblown in the mid-range, around 2kHz, which is where you get the compressed "radio" type sound. Turning that down allowed for more space for dynamic contrast, so I was able to turn up the highs and turn up the lows, which were overshadowed by just how LOUD the mids were. The original song has frequencies up to 10kHz, but the original song really only uses up to 6kHz, so revealing those "unused" frequencies brought some natural bright into the song. Unfortunately, it seems that the audio is pretty damaged, so it also sounds a bit harsh. I did my best to get a good balance, but it isn't amazing.
