Factory correct and a bargain over time
I got an incredible 7 years out of my first air filter that came with the refridgerator, so it's a bargain indeed. There's no reason to buy a copycat product, as the factory one fits and is accepted by the fridge.
Some notes you should know: 1-it's easy to install; just open the 'hatch', replace the old one, close the hatch, and then re-set the filter monitor on the panel until it is green; it will beep twice. Do that again to turn off the beep/beep that went off when the old one failed. (Re-set means to hold down the re-set button on the fridge panel.)
Word to the wise: I set it up, it was fresh and greenlit on the panel...THEN a power failure. It beeped again as if it were burnt out. I called the factory and they said to re-install it as if it were new. If that doesn't work, unplug the fridge(turning it off alone does nothing.) Then re-set it to stop the annoying beeps. Remember always that the 'beeps' could be merely a warm fridge, so give it an hour before re-setting.
