The main railway station for international services is Keleti Station. A fascinating location with a vast selection of rolling stock which is mostly visible in this video. Capturing on film the V43 and V46 MAV Locomotives plus V46 with shunting Locomotives of classes M43 and M44. Also seen are Gysev V43, Austrian (OBB) class 1014. The 17.05 "Orient Express" is seen departing for Paris amongst other international services bound for Zurich (SBB) The "Venezia Express" 17.30 Departure for Venice (FS) The 15.55 departure for Wroclaw in Poland (PKP) . I can't think of a location with a more diverse selection of services situated in such a beautiful part of the continent. It should be on every railway enthusiast's bucket list. This video unfortunately concludes my visit to Hungary....until next time.
I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
