Love king of Thailand. Royal Guards March play by BERKELEY high school band and orchestra. One Thai student in the band want to play some music for his king (king Phumipol) so he give this music piece to his teacher and so the teacher like this song so BHS got to play on winter concert December 12, 2014 for his majesty.

This particular song is know in Thai as “March Racha Wanlop” This piece of music was composed by His Majesty the King Phumipol (King Rama IX) in 1948 and it’s the number 7th among the other pieces he composed. His Majesty the King authorized the Regiment 1st Royal Guards to use the piece of music as their theme marching song in military parade.

Later on, the Commander of Regiment 1st Royal Guards had Major Sripho Thosnood arrange Thai lyrics to complete a song. His Majesty the King kindly interpolated the music; however, the interpolation was finished with the assistance of Pra Jen Duriyang (Piti Watayakorn). The song “The Royal Guards March” was beautifully completed in 1952. and has been being the theme marching song for military parade since then.
