🚀 Transforming 2D Floor Plans into 3D Models Using AI

We’re thrilled to showcase a demo of our latest AI-powered project — a web-based application that intelligently converts 2D floor plan images into interactive 3D models! 🏠✨
As someone passionate about combining deep learning with real-world applications, I designed this tool to make architectural visualization smarter and more accessible.

🔍 How It Works:
✅ The user uploads a 2D floor plan image.
📦 A custom-trained Object Detection model detects and highlights 28+ architectural components — including beds, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, and more.
🧱 A second Segmentation model identifies and marks different wall types, such as load-bearing, partition, and exterior walls.
🖼️ The system then displays three key views:

🛠️ Tech Stack:

Frontend: Flask + HTML/CSS/JS

Backend: Two deep learning models — Object Detection + Segmentation — with 3D model generation

Rendering: A web-based 3D viewer that brings your blueprint to life

✨ This project bridges the gap between traditional architecture and modern AI by transforming static designs into immersive visual experiences — empowering industries like real estate, interior design, and urban planning.

In the future, I plan to:

Automate room-wise furniture placement

Integrate real-world measurements and materials

Add interior layout suggestions using generative AI
