Benin monarch made of bronze and a cockrel sculpture have been received by the Oba of Benin after they were repatriated from Europe by the Nigerian government.The artefacts were looted from the ancient Benin kingdom during an 1897 invasion by Europeans. While taking possession of the art works at his place, the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare the second emphasized the spiritual values the bronzes possess.
