Here it FINALLY is: my entry for the final round of the Journey Contest. The idea was to show two different journeys of óne storyline simultaneously. I decided to go for Brucas, because I knew I’d put all my heart and effort in it if it contained Brucas. Please read on what my idea was:

So, I decided to go for Brucas. How it could have gone completely differently (forgetting Chad & Sophia’s divorce for a second). Lucas was clearly still so very in love with Brooke when she broke up with him, but he just didn’t know how to show it and how to get her back. I think if he had said something less lame than ‘I’m sorry’ at the end, Brooke would have still given him a chance. If he had said ‘I love you’ AT THE LEAST, and then tell her WHY he loves her, and tell her that she is the one he wants next to him when all his dreams come true (as he told Peyton, but he should have told Brooke), and tell her that he is completely in love with her (as he told Peyton in the library at the party that Brooke threw for him), I think Brooke would have given him another chance. It was obvious Brooke still loved Lucas a lot, but just couldn’t handle all the heartache, insecurities and jealousy anymore. Which I can totally understand, seeing that when Lucas was trying to ‘win Brooke back’, he only hang out with Peyton, making it even more difficult for Brooke. I mean how could Brooke know that Peyton was helping Lucas to get Brooke back? It looked to her as if they were hanging out and Lucas wasn’t fighting for Brooke.

Sorry, I’m ranting. It’s just the pain that comes with this ship, I need to talk about it, hoping someone agrees with me.

Anyway, back to the video: I showed how Lucas could’ve changed his whole situation with Brooke if he hadn’t said ‘I’m sorry’ but said ‘I love you and I want you next to me when all my dreams come true’. In black & white you see what happens if he would’ve said that, and in colour you see what really happened (with Lucas just saying ‘I’m sorry’).

I hope it makes sense and I really hope you like it, because honestly this was one of the most (intellectually) difficult videos that I have ever made. Plus it was one of the most (emotionally) difficult videos I have ever made because A) Brucas and B) they could have had it all and I had to show that.

THEN, SOMETHING ELSE: I WANT TO THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR REACHING THE 12.500+ SUBSCRIBERS!!! I KNOW I DON’T OFTEN SAY THIS, BUT I REALLY REALLY LOVE YOU ALL AND I CAN’T BE MORE THANKFUL. Getting a bit sentimental here: I just remember me having 100 subscribers and trying EVERYTHING to get more but just not working. Here I am, about 2 years later… Two zeros added. How unbelievable. Dear Kar, I know we hardly talk and I know I probably say that every year haha. But it’s just the same as always: when we talk we are just as perfect as we were 4 years ago as two tiny YouTube noobies, trying to find a way to make friends and get subcribers. I still love you as much as I did then, if not more. I want to wish you a happy (belated) birthday, and hope you have the best year of your life! Your other present is another love we share and I don’t know exactly whén I will have it finished, but it’s more the thought behind it than the timing. I hope you like (or hate/cry) this video, it reminds me of our very first conversation, which was a Brucas conversation. You were one of the first people on YouTube that shared the exact same opinion about Brucas and I just knew in that moment: I’m going to have to cherish this girl and the friendship we have. I hope I succeeded and still have you as a friend, but I think we’re good! I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK (sorry for this long, emotional and sentimental rant haha – I’m getting old).

I should give some credit to Emma too, because she helped me figure some stuff out about this video (EVEN THOUGH SHE IS A LEYTON.. HOW GREAT IS THAT). I just think it shows how great of a friendship we have YAY. I think I’ve mentioned her in my past 12 videos, but who cares. I’m in loveee.
