Sadhguru Center Speaker Series are monthly virtual lecture-discussions highlighting the research and explorations of our multidisciplinary community of distinguished scientists, global experts, and thought leaders.

In this talk, Mayur Mudigonda, PhD will provide an overview of how sensory inputs (largely focused on vision) are assimilated by the brain to create cohesive representations. He will discuss a few simple, yet promising, computational frameworks that explain many phenomena in the sensory system. As a community, we will also have an opportunity to brainstorm future directions in the field.

Mayur Mudigonda, PhD a research affiliate of Sadhguru Center for a Conscious Planet, has a Doctorate in Theoretical Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence from UC Berkeley. His research interests lie at the intersection of perception, computation and action. Presently, his research interests are focused at the intersection of cognition and meditation. A parallel thread of his work includes applying AI to problems in Climate Science. When he is not doing research, he loves meditating, playing the guitar, and spending time outdoors.

Sadhguru Center for a Conscious Planet is a multidisciplinary research center at Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Sadhguru Center facilitates ground-breaking dialogues amongst experts across disciplines and educates medical professionals, patients, and the public on evidence-based practices to improve quality of life. www.tinyurl.com/sadhgurucenter
