One of the Etienne Sati Peeths is the Fullara Temple at Lavpur in the Birbhum district of the state of West Bengal. These Temples are only a ten minute walk from Lavpur station. The backyard environment surrounded by plants is shady and quite neatly arranged. There are no idols in the main temple. Large pieces of rock are worshiped as goddesses. Goddess Bhairab is the Biswes. It is said that Sati's lower lip fell here.
There are two Shiva temples in front of the temple, and in the middle there is a staircase leading down to a huge pond. The name is Devidaha. According to legend, Hanuman collected 108 lotuses from this pond for the Durga Puja of Ramachandra during Akal Bodhan. There is a saying that the water in a tank never dries up. Many such legends can still be heard around this temple.
Fullara is near the temple in the birthplace of the legendary Tarashankar Banerjee. The house where Tarashankar was born is beautifully maintained. Besides, the Lavpur Panchayat Samiti has set up a collection in the house called 'Dhatridevata' next to it. There are various items used by the fictional Tarashankar Banerjee, which are open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Monday.
