I Rejected BSc Statistics Took BSc Maths🤯 #shorts

When we talk about doing a BSc degree i.e. Bachelor of Science then BSc Statistics is something we do hear about. It has become a much much popular course in recent times especially when we talk about high package placements and real life applications.

Despite knowing about all of this , I ditched BSc Statistics and took BSc Mathematics! Here were my reasons:

1. COURSE STRUCTURE & SYLLABUS : It's mandatory to research about the course you are going to pursue and so I went to the official website of Delhi University and checkout the syllabus for both the subjects but I found the syllabus of Maths much more relatable as compared to Stats and hence I ticked Maths in this case.
However I won't suggest this approach and a much deeper research would be better.

2. AVAILABILITY : BSc Statistics is offered by a few colleges as compared to BSc Mathematics, also it comes with a higher cutoff.
I wasn't getting a very good college for Stats that I was definitely getting for Stats.

Though the course comes before college but if the course is dicey we can definitely decide on the basis of college.

3. CAREER GOAL : I wanted to be a lecturer then and hence Maths suited me as we don't have Statistics in school and very minimal Statistics in college , in comparison to Mathematics obviously.

But yes , these were my reasons. Let me know yours!
