Sword Art Online is the biggest letdown in anime history and I’m tired of pretending it’s good. The story feels like it was written in five minutes, the main character acts like a perfect hero with no personality, and every girl in the show just falls for him for no reason. The action is bland, the drama is forced, and most episodes feel like filler with no purpose. The show thinks it’s deep but it never explains anything and it throws in romance and sad moments just to trick viewers into thinking it matters. Watching it feels like a chore and the more you think about it the worse it gets. If you want a real anime experience watch literally anything else because Sword Art Online is nothing but wasted potential and hype.
