We are a Canadian 🇨🇦 family who has chosen to live off-grid on the ocean for the past 15 years. In 2018 we moved aboard our current home, a 1974 John Samson built, 55 foot ferro-cement staysail schooner Kiva which had been abandoned for 10 years. Originally built to travel through the fierce Northwest Passage, she became stuck in the Alaskan pack ice after a late season departure. The custom hull design allowed the crew to sail out the following Spring, completely unharmed.

Explore the beautiful coastline of British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦 with us and eventually the world 🌏 ...some of us just need to learn how to sail first!
