SKOWHEGAN, MAINE DRIVING FROM QUEBEC TO PORTLAND - 1967
Friends and family-
This 1967 home movie shows our family driving across Maine during a summer vacation. We start at the Canada/US border crossing at Jackman, Maine. Then south on US Route 201. We stop to see a log flow on the Kennebec River. Then for a walk in Skowhegan, Maine, including its famous Swinging Bridge. Then south to Portland, Maine, where we check out a pool on the roof of our hotel. Finally to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Included in the movie are my sister Joan, my brother Donald, my mother Catherine "Peg", my father Lawrence, and me. Our brother Bruce was not with us. It was filmed by our father, Lawrence W. Haas, and the music is by my daughter, Anna Haas.
Please share widely and let me know if you recognize anyone.
