This HDR gameplay video was captured in Nvidia Shadowplay and uploaded straight to YouTube. It was captured on a Windows 10 PC with an RTX 2060 Super video card.

To see this video in HDR on a PC, you must have Windows 10, an HDR-capable monitor, and Microsoft Edge browser, which is currently the only browser that can show HDR graphics. Go to Windows 10 display settings (Start, Settings, System, Display) and turn on HDR. Then open the YouTube website on Microsoft Edge. On the YouTube video screen, change the video settings at the lower right to HDR. Other platforms, such as Roku TV, may also have YouTube apps that can display HDR. If your system doesn't have HDR, you can still see this video, albeit in regular display.

HDR (high dynamic range) offers 10-bit graphics that adds a greater range and depth of colors, which improves realism of the graphics and/or enables a greater artistic possibility for game designers. Borderlands 3 is a first-person sci-fi shooter with plenty of gear to loot and many colorful and outrageous characters and enemies to interact with. A decade and 3 games later, this series still hasn't changed much in its formulaic but addictive looting-and-shooting gameplay style. The use of HDR is well-suited here because the game uses stylized, over-the-top color palettes that are enhanced even more by HDR.
