On this episode I try something new on this property for the first time and add a waterhole for deer and wildlife in general. The top part of the property doesn’t have a water source and even though we have a constant flowing creek on the bottom I decided to add this kiddy pool in a known rut transition. During the rut deer will cruise across the property fairly quickly and a lot of the bucks never make it to the bottom of the property where the creek is until they’re off my property. This water hole is right near fall deer bedding and extremely easy access for me to refill the pool back up once it gets empty. I show step by step from start to finish on how I do my wildlife water holes and it’s all done with hand tools. Takes some sweat equity but I think it could be the little added advantage this fall to help me wrap my tag around what could be my “one last buck” on this property before we end up selling it.
