Lt.Col.Jonny Thompson with the King & Queen in Edinburgh and back in RRoS Uniform! 2nd-3rd July 2024

A truncated Scottish week due to the General Election today, so only events held in Edinburgh over 2 days, but what a treat was in store for us with Senior Equerry Jonny back in his full Royal Regiment of Scotland Ceremonial Uniform, looking as magnificent as ever, and boy had we missed it! But first, thanks to a fellow Jonny admirer, he was spotted at the Tuesday evening's Garden Party at Holyrood Castle, with Queen Camilla, wearing a Morning Suit again, not long after Ascot. Those pics are at the end of the video, as they're not very good, but he was there! The majority of footage and photos are from Wednesday's events. Firstly the Order of the Thistle Ceremony at St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile, Scotland's highest and oldest Order of Chivalry, being awarded to, among other Scots, Queen Camilla and the Duke of Edinburgh. The Prince of Wales was also present. Jonny appeared to be Groom of the Robes again, as he was looking after the young page boy holding the King’s Mantle.💚
That was followed by a Ceremony of the Key to Edinburgh Castle celebrating the city of Edinburgh's 900th Anniversary. The Castle Governor Sir Alastair Bruce, also a Senior Officer in the Royal Regiment of Scotland, did the honours.
Although today was very exciting, I'm more confused than ever now, as presumably Jonny hasn't left the Army as the newspapers reported last October?
