Brokenness to Beauty: A Lesson from the Japanese Art of Kintsugi | Dr. Latha Christie

Описание к видео Brokenness to Beauty: A Lesson from the Japanese Art of Kintsugi | Dr. Latha Christie

The Japanese art of Kintsugi repairs damaged pottery by using lacquer mixed with gold dust. The gold increases both the beauty and value of the cracked piece and the broken pieces become beautiful.

We may feel broken and battered. But God can turn Brokenness into Beauty when we entrust our brokenness to the Lord. When we are sure that God knows and loves us, we can replace our self-focused approach with a God-focused approach and learn to rest on Him.
Our place of desperation can become a place of purification, restoration, and redemption. Like Kintsugi art, our Lord Jesus Christ can turn our brokenness into beauty, revealing his light and love through the cracks. When something breaks and is destroyed, it also can give birth to something entirely new which can provide ongoing sustenance.

Are you feeling broken that you lost something or your dream has ended? God can birth new dreams, new desires, through you.
