LITTLE LANGDALE - THE CATHEDRAL CAVES

We parked at the National Trust car park in Elterwater and did a gorgeous 8 mile circular walk around Elterwater Lake, heading to the Falls at Skelwith Bridge. We continued the walk up to Colwith Force to see the waterfall - a prefect lunch spot, before heading to the magnificent Cathedral Caves, in Little Langdale. We stopped at High Park Farm along the way for a cream tea and on a boiling hot summers day, a pint at the Three Shires Country pub was very well received, just before the end of the walk. Perfect weather, stunning scenery and a glorious walk, showcasing the majestic Little Langdale Valley.
