Slovenian Railroad museum, part II.

In part II of my visit to slovenian railroad museum we will see signalboxes, switchboxes and central traffic control, along other things which are essential in railroad transportation.

Signalboxes were used for giving signals to the trains, start, stop, reverse, etc.

Switchboxes were used as a predesessors of a centralized traffic control (CTC)., the switchman on the line, for certain types of trains, he switches trains via switch levers, which are then throwing switches on certain direction.

Centarlized Traffic Control, is now a standard in railroad industry, in which a person, with a push of a button, throws switches in certain directions where the trains suppose to go.
