Welcome back to Melton’s Manor, where we walk the fine line between the living and the dead. Tonight, we head deep into the backroads of Orrum, North Carolina, to uncover what’s said to be one of the state’s most haunted locations — Fear Haunted House.

On the surface, it’s a terrifying attraction — fog, screams, and shadowed corridors built for horror lovers. But beneath the jump scares lies a story that feels disturbingly real.

According to local legend and the haunt’s own records, this house was built in 1951 by William and Emily Britt, who lived here with their three children — Bill, and twins Sara and Clara. In January 1952, a fire broke out in the nursery after William burned trash in the bedroom fireplace. A battery hidden in the pile exploded. The blaze took the life of infant Sara Britt, and the family abandoned the home shortly after.

Years later, another family — the Joneses — moved in. Their son, George Jones, was reportedly killed inside the living room after a violent confrontation with his girlfriend’s father. Ever since, locals claim his spirit has never left. Doors slam on their own, appliances flicker, and a shadow figure has been seen pacing the halls where George took his final breath.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, walking through this house feels heavy — like it remembers what happened here. Maybe that’s why the haunt feels so real. Because for some, it was.
