In summary, the best air hockey puck is the heaviest one that your table can support. Heavier and bigger pucks are far superior to lighter and smaller ones because they're less likely to go flying off the table.

However, if you get a puck that's too heavy for your blowers to support, then it's going to stall a lot.

On the same token, you get a puck that's too big, it's not going to fit in the goals.

Luckily, even if your table came with a bad puck, there's options to get heavier ones. Some of the best air hockey companies (like Valley Dynamo) make smaller versions of their full sized pucks.
