Knowing the difference between being over the top, and having passion could truly affect your network marketing success!
Have you ever heard those commercials on the radio that tell people to come on down to the race track on Sunday Sunday Sunday!!!?? Remember the frenzied tone in his voice? I can hear the guys voice right now in my head as I'm writing this for you. Now, have you ever been to a business opportunity meeting, where the speaker was so fired up telling you how this was the best thing since the invention of ice cubes? That if you didn't get in five minutes ago, life as you know it would cease to exist, and you'd never have network marketing success? Remind you of anything?

I remember one in of the first companies that I ever partnered with, the company leadership would tell struggling marketers that they just weren't excited enough. That if only they would turn up the volume on their enthusiasm, then the network marketing success they have been dreaming of would finally manifest itself. I'm sure that the intention was always to help, however, telling people to be more excited may have been more detrimental then intended.
Truth is, excitement for the marketer, will fade with time. If someone doesn't see any tangible network marketing success, then there's that first chip in the armor. Have a few friends and family say no, and also tell the poor guy why he shouldn't be doing it either, and there's a bit more of the wind out of the sails. So what's the fix?
My advice would be to focus on your passion. To have passion for something is completely different from giving a ridiculously hypey sales pitch, which more than likely ends up repelling the person you're trying to attract. Your passion comes from within. Your passion can stem from your family, your kids, or the one thing that you've always wanted to do or place to see, since you were knee high to a grasshopper. Being passionate is an alpha emotion, calm yet powerful. However, that hysterical assault of excitement is counter productive, the opposite of achieving network marketing success, and doesn't serve you or any prospective teammate.
OK, here's an example. For anyone who know's me, you know that I'm a pro wrestling fan. Yeah, I know, I know. Anyway, there was a wrestler who went by the name of The Ultimate Warrior. He was known for his characters intensity. He later retired from wrestling, and became involved in public speaking. His passion was to help others realize their potential in whatever area their passion led them. He had a fantastic quote, and I believe it relates so incredibly well to having passion and network marketing success. The quote reads," You must show no mercy, Nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you, For your greatness will silence them all".
What an amazingly powerful statement. Are you letting others beliefs and judgements take the passion from you? An even better question is, are you silencing them with your greatness? Drop the hype. It doesn't serve you at all. Let your passion lead you to your greatness.
