The Entire History of Trunks | Dragon Ball Z

The History o Trunks TV special jumps thirteen years ahead to Age 780, where a fourteen-year-old Trunks and a twenty-three-year-old Gohan are introduced. Gohan, now the only remaining Z Fighter capable of challenging the Androids, became a Super Saiyan after witnessing the deaths of his friends. He takes on the task of training Trunks, who comes close to achieving Super Saiyan status himself. One day, the Androids attack Super World, prompting Gohan and Trunks to respond. Gohan, transforming into a Super Saiyan, battles Android 17 while Android 18 observes. Although Gohan initially gains the upper hand, Android 18 soon joins in, and together they overwhelm him. Trunks, despite being outmatched, steps in to help but is quickly defeated. Gohan rescues him, and they hide amidst the park's debris. When the Androids bomb the area to draw them out, Gohan loses his left arm in the blast. He gives Trunks a Senzu bean, saving him, and Trunks takes Gohan back to Capsule Corporation, where he recovers and resumes training Trunks. Their training is interrupted when the Androids attack Pepper Town. Trunks wants to fight, but Gohan knocks him unconscious to keep him safe. Gohan, now fighting with only one arm, confronts Android 17 and holds his own in a tense battle. However, he is ultimately outnumbered and killed by the Androids during a rainstorm. Trunks awakens when he senses Gohan's energy fading and finds his mentor's lifeless body. In a surge of rage, Trunks finally transforms into a Super Saiyan, completing his training without his mentor's guidance. The story advances three years to Age 783. Trunks finds Bulma working on the Time Machine and insists he no longer needs help to defeat the Androids since he is now a Super Saiyan. Bulma reminds him that Gohan was also a Super Saiyan, and it wasn't enough. When a news report reveals that the Androids are attacking Bridgetown, Trunks rushes off to confront them, despite Bulma's warnings. During the battle, Trunks is severely outmatched and takes a brutal beating from the Androids, who are merely toying with him. He barely survives an intense blast from Android 18. Trunks wakes up at home, with Bulma at his side. After a brief conversation, he decides to travel back in time using the Time Machine to deliver the Heart Medicine to Goku. Bulma wishes him luck as Trunks sets off to the past.
