UPDATE - Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department have been in contact with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office today.

At this time, preliminary, Sarasota Police Detectives believe same suspect killed in Hernando County is this same suspect who committed the armed robbery that occurred at Subway, 1154 N Washington Blvd., Sarasota, Monday afternoon. However, the investigation in Sarasota is not closed and is ongoing at this time.

This suspect has been identified the as Michael Hilber. Sarasota Police Detectives are continuing their investigation at this time.

Sarasota Police Officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Subway, 1154 North Washington Boulevard, Sarasota at approximately 4:45pm on Monday, December 21, 2015.

The suspect walked into the Subway, pointed a firearm at the clerks and demanded cash. The clerks gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male, 5'5" - 5'8", in his 20's, medium build. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a design, long dark black pants, mustache and gold chain.
