Here's a quick visual tutorial on how to achieve a stutter effect using only the filter on the Digitakt. (Please excuse the poor video quality and lack of editing or titles in my videos. I'm new to video production but I am learning so any tips would be appreciated!)

I loaded the first synth pad patch called Alchemistic from the factory sound bank. The sound is located in Factory/Synths/Stabs&Pads/Alchemistic.

All I did was bring the cutoff freq down about halfway and recorded some filter automation (Freq). Then as I adjusted the cutoff on the filter during playback I noticed a nice stutter. Adjusting the cutoff while a recorded CC plays back on the same parameter results in a nice stuttery glitch that is being filtered and is ALSO IN TEMPO! Add some delay/reverb to the track and you get some real ambient glitches.

This trick can also be used on the tuning parameter. The glitch on this one has a pitch modulation going on agains the stutter giving you a nice variation of the same effect.

This is a good trick for adding on the fly stuttery glitches to a track. The effect is more pronounced the more contrasted the parameter changes are. In other words, if the recorded automation is going up in frequency you will hear more of a stutter if you move the knob in the opposite direction. If it's still confusing, you'll hear what I'm talking about as you try it.
