If you're a fan of Ace Attorney and other adventure visual novels (ADVs), you should give Paranormasight: The Seven of Mysteries of Honjo a try. Set in 1980s Showa-era Japan, you're trying to find the truth behind these mysteries and a dark ritual called the Rite of Resurrection, which allows you to revive anyone of your choosing...as long as you're willing to give into the darkness and steal others' souls. You'll be going down multiple story paths, finding clues and investigating real-world areas of Honjo (now Sumida, Tokyo) recreated in-game, all in an effort to bring everything back to normal. With a gripping tale from producer Takanari Ishiyama (Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings, Tantei Kibukawa/Detective Rysouke Kibukawa), accompanied by interesting characters from designer Gen Kobayashi (The World Ends With You), and soundscapes by Hidenori Iwasaki (Stranger of Paradise, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles), this seedy adventure may just be what you need while you wait for another Ace Attorney title...
