Thoughts on the R5C and Sigma 50-100 f/1.8 Art combination:

The Super35 mode in the R5C 4K is oversampled from a 5.9k image, and is almost as sharp as full-frame 4K, so an APSC lens like the Sigma here makes a good pairing. The lens itself produces a sharp, high contrast picture, and adding some sort of diffusion to the lens or matte box probably wouldn’t be a bad idea, just to take the edge off a little bit. I would recommend an 82mm Black-Pro Mist at either 1/8 (subtle) or 1/4 strength.

The 50-100mm is around 75-150 equivalent in crop mode, and I definitely missed having anything on the wide end. My Sigma 18-35 f/1.8, or full frame 24-35 f/2 would have come in handy here. It is also quite difficult to focus manually with this lens wide open (or any Sigma photography lens really), so I shot everything in the f/2.8-f/4 range. The biggest con is the lack of IS on the lens, especially as the R5C doesn't have IBIS.
