Episcopal Ordination Of Bishop-elect Of Ahiara Diocese, Most Reverend Simeon Okezuo Nwobi

After 13 years of struggle and trial for a Bishop of Mbaise decent,
Catholic faithfuls of Ahiara diocese in Ahiazu Mbaise local government
area of Imo State now boasts of a Bishop.

19th of December, 2023 was a historic and epic day, being the episcopal

ordination of the Bishop-elect, Most Reverend Monsignor Simeon Okezuo
Nwobi.

Ahiara junction and the Cathedral was agog with Catholic faithfuls from

near and far as we witnessed a marvelous, glamourous, joyous, exciting
and spectucular panorama; Mbaise was on the news globally, given the
history surrounding Ahiara diocese and having a Bishop from Mbaise since
the demise of the previous Bishop of Ahiara dioces, Bishop Victor Adibe
Chikwe.

The event could be the biggest event of the year as expected, owing to

the organization and attendance by Bishops, Arch bishops, Priests,
Captains of industries, Political class, Catholic faithfuls and
illustrious sons and daughters of Mbaise from near and far, even abroad.

It was indeed a glorious and memorable day for Ahiara dioces and catholic

faithfuls across Mbaise, all thanks to Ahiara Diocese Worldwide Laity
Council for ensuring a world class event.
