A new comet is on the way and it could be one of the coolest things in the night sky this year. It’s called Comet C/2025 A6, also known as Lemmon, and it’s getting brighter fast. The best time to see it will be from late October to early November. On October 21 it passes closest to Earth, and on November 8 it swings around the Sun. It might shine bright enough to see with just binoculars, and maybe even with your eyes if you’re under dark skies. If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, look west after sunset in late October. For the Southern Hemisphere, you’ll catch it in November.
