The Remote North of Zimbabwe - Solo Africa Overland, Ep. 34

The north of Mashonaland Central province is a really remote region of Zimbabwe, where tourists never go. The roads are terrible, there are just a handful of villages in a huge extension of land where there are no farms and it's so sparsely populated that you can drive for hours seeing almost no one around. My journey took me all the way to the far north, to the Mbire district, right on the southern Zambezi bank where the borders of Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia meet. The reason for such a long trip was to meet one of the most interesting tribes of the country, the Doma people. On the way I had the chance to see a petrified forest, beautiful rivers, interesting landscapes and to make new friends.
