Sonic Legacy (Going under the fake name of: Friday Night Funkin': RodentRap) is a mod created by JoeDoughBoi, the owner of Sonic.exe alongside ASTRANOMICONX.

X, better known as Sonic.exe or Lord X,[6] is the main opponent of Sonic Legacy, appearing in the songs 2Torial, Obituary (falsely known as FREE4ME), and is set to appear in the upcoming song Cycles. He is a genocidal entity created by accident in the void during a cataclysm of primordial energies. He has immense obssesion on Sonic the Hedgehog.

X, using Sonic's form, appears as an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covers most of his body, peach skin only seen on his stomach, arms, eyelids, inside of ears, and lower half of his head. He has green eyes, six long quills on the back of his head and two triangular ears. He wears white gloves and red boots with white cuffs around the ankles and white straps across the top.

When FREE4ME transitions to Obituary, X's fur becomes darker, his eyes become red with black sclera leaking a black liquid, his teeth become yellow and sharper, and his boots become gray.

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.

The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?

Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content.
