Our adventure begins at the vibrant Piazza del Risorgimento, located just outside the walls of Vatican City in the bustling Prati district of Rome. This square is a major transportation hub and the perfect starting point for our exploration.

From there, we stroll down Via di Porta Angelica, a historic street leading straight into the iconic Vatican City.

As we enter St. Peter's Square, the sheer grandeur of the place takes our breath away. The square is framed by stunning views of two magnificent fountains, the ancient Egyptian Obelisk standing tall in the centre, and the awe-inspiring façade of St. Peter's Basilica.

We arrived just in time for the Sunday Angelus, a special moment when Pope Francis addresses the crowds from the balcony of the papal apartment. We were amazed by the sea of people pouring in from Via di Porta Angelica, all eager to catch a glimpse of the Pope.
