Demonetisation brings vegetable market to a standstill - ANI News

Gulbarga, Nov 22 (ANI): A severe cash crunch has brought a wholesale vegetable market in Gulbarga to a near halt, disrupting supplies as sellers and buyers search for elusive currency to trade their produce amid rising concerns of change of bigger notes. The problem has been compounded as banks and Automated Telling Machines (ATMs) are dispensing 2,000 and 500 rupee bills. The usually bustling market witnessed rare scenes of traders struggling to auction even five crates of tomatoes, due to lack of usable cash in the hands of customers.
