As part of the “Four Days in November” program series to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presented a Living History conversation with Bill Mercer, moderated by Curator Stephen Fagin.

An award-winning broadcast journalist and sportscaster, Mercer is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. As a broadcaster with KRLD Radio and TV, Mercer reported live from Dallas police headquarters on November 22, 1963. At a midnight press briefing, he was the one to initially inform suspect Lee Harvey Oswald that he had been charged with the President’s murder.

This conversation was presented at the Museum on November 22, 2019.
