I have lived in Korea for nearly half my life and I am sharing some of my favorite Korean dishes, as well as other food related experiences fresh off the streets and countryside of South Korea.

This week it is Bulgogi (불고기)

Marinade:
황설탕 2.5Tbsp Brown Sugar
간마늘 1Tbsp Minced Garlic
진간장 5Tbsp Thick Soy Sauce
참기름 3Tbsp Sesame Oil

Ingredients:
소고기 500g Shaved Beef Brisket
양파 1/2 (small) Onion
표고버섯 3 Shiitake Mushrooms
대파 1(small) Green Onion Stalk
홍고추 1 Red Chili Pepper
통깨 a pinch of Sesame Seeds

Method:

Use pre-sliced meat, or slice the meat thinly beforehand.
Combine the brown sugar, garlic, and thick soy sauce. Mix with the meat, making sure to separate the meat and get the marinade in between the pieces.
Prepare the vegetables while the meat marinades.
Mix the marinated meat with the vegetables and sesame oil.
Fry on medium heat until the meat is cooked and the vegetables are soft.
Garnish with sesame seeds.
