We all know the problem with large interfering contours. You have to make use of long tool holders. The result: uneven surfaces due to high vibrations. This problem is solved with our actively damped shell mill adapters!

The damper package inside our 200 mm long adapter reduces vibrations through an elastically suspended heavy metal core (Densimet®) that dampens specific frequencies.

Watch the video and see the comparison we have done. We have analysed and statistically recorded it with ToolScope as well as the surface and the milling noise.
