Ijeoma Umebinyuo tackles the Culture of Silence in this thought provoking and articulate TEDx talk which explores how remaining silent trivalizes our struggles whether it be with mental health, sexual harrassment, or another topic deemed taboo by the society in which we live. She divides the Culture of Silence into the three C's: culture, code, and cage. And how do we escape it? By taking ownership of our stories and our struggles and by encouraging others to do the same. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
