Uncovering and Reducing Racial Disparities in Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer accounts for the largest racial disparity in mortality of all common cancers, with African Americans 2.3 times more likely to die from prostate cancer as Caucasian men. Not only is prostate cancer more lethal, it is often more frequent among African Americans, who are 1.6 times as likely to develop prostate cancer as Caucasian men.
