BASLP syllabus consists both of theory and practical subjects with Audiology and Speech-language pathology as primary BASLP subjects. In the final year, the students undergo internship and training for the rehabilitation of people who are suffering from speaking.

BASLP Admission Procedure
Admissions to BASLP is done on the basis of Merit as well as Entrance Tests. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exams such as AIIMS-UG, NEET-UG, PIMER UG, JIPMER UG, GGSIPU, etc. the colleges that take direct admissions without any entrance exam prepare a merit list based on the scores scored by the candidates in 12th.

The General eligibility criteria to get admitted in the course of BASLP are as follows.

Candidates should have completed 12th.
Intermediate should be from a recognized board.
He/she should have obtained at least 50% in 12th.
Relaxation 5% will be provided to students of SC/ST.

BASLP Career Opportunities

Work as Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists in various hospital set up, super specialty clinics such as Neurology/ENT/Paediatric/Oncology clinics and Rehabilitation centers
Students also have opportunities to work as industrial audiologist, audiologist in hearing aid and cochlear implant industries, and also opt for serving in private clinics. Few opportunities were also given in the Defence Systems as an Audiologist
Students may also work at the level of faculty positions and research scholars in various Institutions/Universities
Students have good opportunities to pursue their higher education in international universities. Majority of them are under Scholarship Schemes
