Reform UK says the BBC has unfairly targeted its councillors since May’s local elections.
The party claims the BBC reported on 95% of Reform councillors who quit, defected or were suspended, compared with just 15% of Labour and Conservative councillors who lost the whip.

Since May 1, Labour lost 207 councillors, the Conservatives 182, and Reform 42.
The row comes after the BBC’s director-general and head of news resigned following a bias scandal involving a Panorama episode that edited a Donald Trump speech. Trump is now expected to sue the BBC for $5bn.

Reform won the most new councillors in May and took control of 12 councils. Their analysis also claims Tory by-elections cost taxpayers £625,000 and Labour’s around £700,000.
