Santa Monica Officials Crack Down on Unpermitted Street Vendors

Santa Monica Code Enforcement Officers, accompanied by Santa Monica Police Officers, confiscated hot dogs from an unpermitted vendor on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Following this, the officers continued to patrol Palisades Park, checking other street vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations. The enforcement action was part of an ongoing effort to maintain public health and safety standards. Unpermitted vendors often operate without necessary health inspections, raising concerns about food safety and sanitation.
