This is Curt with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at these K Source universal towing mirrors on our 2024 Toyota Tacoma. Now, if you have any experience with these universal towing mirrors or any questions about 'em, please leave them in the comments below. We love to take your questions and your experiences and share them with other neighbors in order to help them make the best decision for themselves. You may be asking yourself, "What would I need towing mirrors for" Well, a lot of times the trailer that you're gonna be hauling behind you is gonna be wider than your vehicle, and it really helps to get a good full visual of everything surrounding so you can make your lane changes safely, reverse it safely, and any of those other things that normally would be difficult to see with a trailer behind you. And if you're a Tacoma owner, it's likely not something where you're towing a trailer every single day, but those weekends when you wanna take the camper out or take a utility trailer out to get some things for a project, a towing mirror is gonna come in very, very helpful. And the way that this is going to go on is it's gonna have these articulating arms so you can adjust them for really any size mirror you've got.

These claws here are gonna grab around the rim of our mirror and K-Source offers a ratcheting system in the back with these rubber pads to help tighten it down. That way we can get it nice and tight on your mirror without doing any damage to it. So the first thing we'll wanna do is slip this on and make sure that our claws are grabbing below and above the mirror, just around the edge of it. And once we have it in a good spot there, we'll come around the back and we'll ratchet them using this lever right here. Might have to adjust the pads a little bit as we go.

And it could take some trial and error to really get the best fit on your mirror. On the Tacoma, we have some challenges with how it tapers to the outside, but also how it tapers around here. Through some trial and error, we're really gonna get the best, most snug fit possible on this. And now that we've got your mirror in place, let's take a look at just kind of what kind of field of vision this is gonna add for you and for others on the road, just to make sure everybody's safe. So this is typically what you're gonna see through your standard factory mirror.

And then if we take a step over this way, you're gonna see how much wider that field of vision gets. I'm far enough away from the trailer now that I can't touch it. So really anything coming up in the blind spot of your trailer, you're gonna be able to see it clearly. It's gonna help you maneuver around obstacles if you need to reverse it and park it somewhere. So overall, this is gonna be a really good addition for your Tacoma, if you're hauling any type of trailer at all.
