Instructed & Ushered by New Orleans Native Michelle Gibson and accompanied by authentic LIVE Secondline Band MJ’s Brass Boppers of The Oakland Second Line Project, the BuckShop will engage you in the culture and traditions of the Black New Orleans community as it pertains to our dance, music & history. New Orleans, one of the most unique and culturally enriched cities in the United States, continues to maintain its Diasporic traditions everyday through its music, dance, food, language, and art just to name a few. Conjuring up dances on the scared grounds of Congo Square, as we Second Line down the streets of Oakland is who we be.
