Trump’s MRI results released amid growing speculation over the president's health

The White House has released the results of Donald Trump’s MRI scan following mounting speculation over the President’s health.

Mr Trump underwent an MRI in October during a visit to Walter Reed Medical Center, but the President and the White House have so far shared limited information about the scan.
Speaking to press, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the scan was “preventative” and the President’s “cardiovascular imaging is perfectly normal”.

“As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health,” Ms Leavitt said, reading a statement from White House physician Sean Barbabella.

“There is no evidence of arterial narrowing impairing blood flow or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels. The heart chambers are normal in size, the vessel walls appear smooth and healthy, and there are no signs of inflammation, or clotting. Overall, his cardiovascular system shows excellent health.”
