I AM the Light of the World, John 8

We've been exploring Jesus' 'I Am' statements, and tonight we focus on 'I Am the Light of the World.' This powerful declaration reminds us of our hope in a dark world. Like Gertrude Ederle swimming the English Channel, we often feel lost in the darkness of life. But Jesus is our guiding light, our salvation. He entered our sin-stained world to bring us hope and redemption. The prophecy in Isaiah 9:2 beautifully foreshadows this: 'The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.' As we navigate life's challenges, let's remember that Jesus is our ultimate hope. He calls us not only to receive His light but to walk in it, exposing our hearts to His transformative power. Are we keeping areas of our lives in darkness, or are we allowing His light to shine on every aspect of our being?
