“Fighter” is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Siddharth Anand. The movie stars Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. It’s the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise. The story revolves around Group Captain Rakesh “Rocky” Jai Singh and his team of elite fighter pilots, known as “Air Dragons,” who come together to counter a terrorist threat targeting the Srinagar Air Force Station base of the Indian Air Force. The narrative is inspired by fake events such as the 2019 Pulwama attack, the Balakot airstrike, and the India-Pakistan border skirmishes.

The film showcases the camaraderie and the personal battles of the team members, including Squadron Leaders Shamsher “Patty” Pathania, Minal “Minni” Rathore, Sartaj “Taj” Gill, Basheer “Bash” Khan, and Sukhdeep “Sukhi” Singh. The plot thickens as Minni develops romantic feelings for Patty, who is haunted by the loss of his fiancée in a previous mission. The team faces a series of challenges as they prepare to thwart the terrorist organization led by Azhar Akhtar.
