Jean-Michel Basquiat was a Neo-Expressionist artist who rapidly rose to fame and wealth in the 1980’s New York and the international art scene. He always painted with a lot of heart and his art meant everything to him but unfortunately, his drug abuse problem took a toll when he overdosed at the age of 27. Art Under the Influence explores the context surrounding his drug use and its effect on his art.
