The US State Department on Friday designated The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow outfit of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) that had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT).

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar described the development as a “strong affirmation of India-US counter-terrorism cooperation”.
