Exploring the attic level of the Anderson County 1909 post office. Original spiral staircase takes you to the private quarters of the head postmaster. One of several small rooms shows the original observation room window for security guards to observe postal workers working below in the main atrium when gold was still sent in the mail. Original gas sconces still present on walls.
The marble baseboards in the main entrance lobby were missing large sections. I created marbleized wooden baseboards to match the original existing marble ones. An unusual example of king of Prussia marble.
