Chest compressions using LUCAS device

Описание к видео Chest compressions using LUCAS device

The following video is part of two that have been produced to provide updated guidance for the process of resuscitation for adult patients with any risk of COVID-19. All clinical staff are urged to watch both videos which last about 5 minutes each. One video show compressions using a LUCAS device and the other with manual compressions, as a LUCAS device will not always be immediately available.

This procedure is outlined in the Adult Flowchart – http://ouh.oxnet.nhs.uk/Resuscitation...

NB: For staff safety, level 2 PPE should ideally be worn when starting the LUCAS machine.
If no members of staff in Level 2 PPE are available, staff in Level 1 PPE can attach and start the machine, but then move a minimum of 2 metres away to minimise the risk of infection.
Do not turn on the LUCAS if the situation is considered unsafe for any members of staff present.

For children – staff should follow the guidance in the Paediatric Flowchart and the staff safety principles demonstrated in the videos. A paediatric video version will be uploaded as soon as available.

These videos are on YouTube, which works best in the Google Chrome browser.

If you are currently using Internet Explorer to view the intranet, and want to watch a video in Google Chrome, please open a new window in Google Chrome and paste the video link into the address bar.
